

Salt cellar in solid silver and vermeil, Empire period, 19th century. Very beautiful Empire-period salt cellar in finely chiseled solid silver. The capital is decorated with palmettes and scrolling foliage. The rim and base are adorned with a frieze of water leaves.
The slightly curved tripod base ends in claws. The interior is vermeil (gold over silver). The liner is made of cobalt blue crystal. The salt cellar bears two hallmarks that are difficult to decipher.
Solid silver hallmark: a swan. This salt cellar is in perfect condition and immaculate. Weight without the liner: 65 grams.
