Mahogany commode with mahogany veneer from the early Empire period. Model known as "return from Egypt," richly adorned with bronze and featuring lion claw feet.

The front supports with trapezoidal flat columns are flanked by bronze palmettes and female caryatids. The drawers have lion-head handles. This commode opens with 3 large front drawers and a small drawer on the top. It has a black marble or granite top with very slight white inclusions.

The piece is in beautiful condition from a household, with some veneer repairs and bleached varnish on the sides of the flat columns.
