Pair of Gilded Bronze Candlesticks from the Early 19th Century Empire Period. Superb pair of candlesticks in bronze. Finely chiseled and gilded, the sconces adorned with palmettes, the shafts with flutes topped with a basket overflowing with fruits and vegetation, all on a richly decorated base with palmettes, acanthus leaves curling against an amati background, a frieze of beads, and rays of light.

Period: Early 19th Century Empire. Original gilding in very good condition.
