Pair of Candlesticks with Caryatids in Bronze from the Napoléon III Era. A very lovely pair of candlesticks. Made of bronze with two finishes (gilded and brown), the shaft is shaped like caryatids representing women dressed in ancient style, standing with arms crossed, wearing on their heads a finely chiseled binet adorned with floral motifs simulating a jar. Mounted on a circular gilded bronze base decorated with a stylized frieze. Napoléon III period around 1860.
