Pair of Candle Holders with Caryatids in Bronze from the Napoléon III Era. A very nice pair of candle holders. Made of bronze with two patinas (gilded and brown), the shaft is shaped like caryatids representing women dressed in antique attire, standing with arms crossed, wearing on their heads a finely chiseled binet with floral motifs resembling a jar. Mounted on a circular base in gilded bronze adorned with a stylized frieze. Napoléon III period around 1860.
