Louis XVI Clock in Gilded Bronze with Cherub, 19th Century

  

Charming Louis XVI style clock in gilded bronze. Body shaped like a fluted column incorporating the enamel dial topped with a Louis XVI bow and a garland of flowers. A cherub is sitting next to a quiver of arrows. The clock movement works, it is signed and dated 1855. The gilding on the bronze has not been cleaned, and something is very likely missing from the cherub's hand.
