Louis XVI carved and painted wooden Trumeau mirror, 19th century

  

Superb carved wooden pier painted in light gray. This large pier mirror stands out from the ordinary with a bouquet of flowers carved in the middle of the two mirrors.

On the sides, there are garlands of flowers carved in relief, and the pediment is adorned with a frieze of wave-like half-piastres. The mirror is basket-shaped with a bouquet of flowers in the middle that gives it charm and elegance. The flat sides were previously pierced to hold bronze wall lights (holes have been filled).

The very light gray paint is quite recent and perfectly enhances the beauty of this pier. There are some small missing pieces of carved wood.
