Large Victorian skirt in black satin - green changeable silk lining. Very beautiful antique skirt dating from the end of the 19th century, from the same wardrobe as the other pieces presented. Made from a heavy, high-quality black satin, it has the full, elegant silhouette characteristic of late 1890s Victorian fashion.

The interior is fully lined with a magnificent changeable silk with green, violet, and bronze reflections depending on the light, creating a very beautiful effect when the skirt is moved. The skirt is particularly heavy, reflecting the quality of the fabrics used and its careful construction. The black satin retains a lovely sheen. The changeable silk lining is well preserved, with only a few normal marks related to its age. There are creases from storage; the skirt has not been ironed in order to preserve the antique textiles. A very beautiful piece intended for a collection of antique costumes, historical reenactment, theater, or display.
