Hello and welcome to our listing! This large enameled cloisonné plate dates back to the Meiji period, in the 19th century, from Japan. Cloisonné is a traditional technique where complex patterns are created using thin metal strips filled with colored enamel. The plate features a beautiful floral motif with birds, typical of Japanese art from that time.

It is adorned with flowers and branches on a vibrant blue background, with very fine details and a decorative border all around. Please note that it shows some minor wear visible on the edge, due to its age. Overall good condition with some scratches on the edge.
