Juliette Récamier, Grand Bronze Golden Decorative Empire, Early 19th Century

  

Superb decorative bronze of era empire. On a base adorned with attributes of science, a great bronze representing juliette recamier, woman of letter, resting by reading a book in a reclamation bench from which she derives her name. It is probably an ancient assemblage of two golden bronze parts but it gives us a very decorative and large sculpture. Very beautiful gilding of well-gloss original, some tasks in the hollows.
