

JAPAN - Meiji Period (1868 - 1912). Very attractive pair of polylobed tortoiseshell plates, both decorated in lacquer.
One is decorated with a bird, butterflies, and flying insects among flowering branches, and the other with a phoenix on a perch surrounded by insects. It brings elegance and refinement thanks to its delicate and intricate motifs. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).
