The finely chiseled and gilded seal rests on a cylindrical base adorned with a frieze of rays of light, a row of pearls, and a laurel wreath. The writing surface offers two inkwell holders shaped like stacks of books, one for the porcelain inkwell and the other for the bronze powder container. The hinged lids are finely chiseled with decorations of a torch, sword, and laurel crown. The base rests on four small ball feet. An exceptional piece from the early 19th century Empire period.This inkwell is complete, everything is original and in excellent condition, with minimal signs of use and aging.
