Empire-style console table - Mahogany - 1 drawer - 19th century. Superb mahogany console table, from the Empire / Restoration period, combining classical elegance with architectural lines.

This console features a sober and elegant silhouette, typical of the early 19th century, with two side supports in the form of scrolling console brackets (volutes), sturdy and decorative; a straight apron incorporating a drawer at the front; a curved lower shelf providing additional storage space; a rectangular top with softened edges; and a deep brown varnished finish that highlights the tones and figured grain of the wood. The drawer is fitted with a brass keyhole escutcheon (key not guaranteed).

The piece is open in the central section, giving it visual lightness and practicality. Ideal size for an entrance hall, hallway, living room, or as an occasional table. Some signs of use and light traces of age are visible (see photos), consistent with the age of the piece.
