Empire Period Commode in Solid Walnut with Black Marble Top, Early 19th Century

  

Beautiful and wide Empire period chest of drawers in solid walnut wood with marble top. It is flanked by two solid columns continuing into cylindrical front feet.

The columns are adorned with original chiseled bronze. This chest of drawers opens with 4 drawers, one in a drawer front and 3 large ones on the facade (pull handles and lock entries added). Original lock but we do not have the key. The top is a thick black marble slab with a shell inside (some micro chips on the back edge, whitish stain on top). The sides are in good condition with just a slight split in the wood like all chests of drawers from this period. Empire period, early 19th century.
