Portrait of a woman wearing a headdress, depicted in her interior, holding a book. From the Second Empire period. Victor Darjou was a portrait painter trained under L. Cogniet and made his debut at the Salon of 1837. French School of the 19th century.

Beautiful 19th-century oval frame with chiseled floral motifs, leaf gilded, slight wear to the gilding. Frame dimensions: 86 x 74 cm.
