Carved Walnut Mirror with Acanthus Leaves, 19th Century

  
Uncommon shape for this large mirror from the late 18th to early 19th century in the Renaissance style. It is made of carved walnut wood.

The frame is sculpted with friezes of acanthus leaves. The sides are flanked by woodwork with scrolls of acanthus leaves. The result is a very decorative mirror that stands out from the ordinary. The frame is assembled with a mortise and tenon joint. The glass seems to have been changed over time.
