Massive silver candle holder from the Restoration period, with a guarantee mark featuring the head of Ceres for Paris (1819 - 1838). Decorated with acanthus leaves at the base of the divine triangle, surrounded by radiant clouds, flanked on the sides by bouquets of vines and wheat. The shaft is adorned with cherub heads, with an engraved inscription at the base: D J A Chauvin Mater D J P Ratte.
Converted into a lamp, full electrification redone, E27 socket. Various parts welded, with small dents and scratches; see photos. Total height 56 cm without lampshade, 33 cm weight 865 grams.
