CANDELABRUM Style Louis XVI - Napoleon III Era 19th Century. Elegant candelabrum with four light arms in the Louis XVI style. Made of blue porcelain with rich ornamentation of finely chiseled and gilded bronze, decorated with ram heads holding garlands and ribboned laurel crowns, a frieze of water leaves, a row of pearls, and palmettes. Each side is adorned with a medallion representing the gods of the ocean in Greek mythology. Poseidon with his trident on one side and his wife Amphitrite seated on a shell on the other.
The pedestal is topped with palmettes and rests on a porcelain column encircled by a laurel torsade and on a gilded bronze base.
