Candelabra Louis XVI Style - Napoleon III Period 19th Century. Elegant four-light candelabra in the Louis XVI style.
Made of blue porcelain with richly ornate finely chiseled and gilded bronze, featuring ram heads holding garlands and ribboned laurel crowns, a frieze of water leaves, a row of pearls, and palmettes. Each side is adorned with a medallion representing the gods of the ocean in Greek mythology. Poseidon with his trident on one side and his wife Amphitrite on the other, seated on a shell. The base is topped with palmettes and rests on a porcelain column encircled by a laurel twist and a gilded bronze base. A beautiful and very refined decorative object from the Napoleon III period, mid-19th century.
