Oil on cardboard (sealed on the back with another thicker cardboard). 15.5cm x 21.5cm unframed and 28.8cm x 34.8cm framed. No visible signature except for a slight one in pencil on the back of the painted support. In my opinion, from around 1850. Typical work from the mid-19th century. Young chimney sweep in a cold winter. Splendid original frame in generally good condition but showing the usual wear on the gilding (especially on the edges).
