Bronze Ewer in Renaissance Style, Napoleon III Period, 19th Century
Large Renaissance-Style Bronze Ewer - Second Empire Period, 19th Century. Superb bronze ewer with two-tone patina and rich ornamentation in the Renaissance style. The ewer features high-relief portraits in medallions against a background of scrollwork and acanthus leaves. The neck is decorated with a mask. Floral and foliate garlands, and an ovolo frieze on the shoulder. The handle is decorated with antique-style women, cut leatherwork, a crowned lion’s head with palmettes, ending in an acanthus leaf. The whole piece rests on a quatrefoil base decorated with fleur-de-lis and palmettes. This ewer is in excellent condition; it is immaculate. Quality packaging guaranteed, professional packaging.
