Beautiful very large lamp in gilded bronze and black marble from the Napoleon III period. It depicts an ancient vestal woman holding in her arms the lamp from which the light emerges. The gilded bronze has an incredibly fresh gilding.
The circular base is stepped and molded in black marble. The details of the sculpture and the bronze chiseling are very fine and precise. The electrical system is new and removable, with a linen lampshade.
