19th Century Writing Desk in Mahogany from the Louis-Philippe Era with Candlestick & Inkwell

  

19th century writing desk in mahogany, Romantic period 1830 Louis-Philippe style, with candlesticks and inkwell. The lift-up flap reveals a mirror inside, uncovering a compartment equipped with a silvered bronze candlestick and a needle holder. The lower drawer forms a writing desk covered in green morocco leather and accompanied by two glass inkwells. The feet terminate in zoomorphic bronze sabots with ram's feet. I note a number of missing mahogany veneers on the surface of the feet, as well as surface wear on the morocco leather.

There are various usual traces which I will not inventory. Located in the historic center of Bourges (Notre-Dame Church).
