The Bather After Falconet, Porcelain Biscuit Sculpture, 19th Century
Biscuit sculpture representing a young bather after the original created by Etienne Maurice Falconet in 1757 in marble preserved at the Louvre. Originally, the title was Nymph Descending from the Bath, the original marble was in the collections of Madame Du Barry. Our porcelain biscuit test is in very good condition and dates from the late 19th century around 1890. No signature or brand mark.
