Rare Solid Silver Oil and Vinegar Cruet Stand, Empire / Restoration Period, Early 19th Century. Antique oil and vinegar stand from the Empire-Restoration period (early 19th century) in solid silver. Neoclassical style with refined decoration of chased palmettes, scrolls, rosettes, and a central pine cone.
Twisted ring handle at the top. Several period official guarantee hallmarks (profile heads) are present on the rim and receptacles.
Silversmith’s mark not identified or worn by time. Mounting: authentic original assembly under the base with its three threaded rods and nuts. Base: 17.5 cm x 7 cm. Outer diameter of the rings: 8 cm (designed for bottles approximately 6.5 cm in diameter). Overall in very good aesthetic condition and structurally very solid. For transparency: one side of the base is slightly dented/twisted, which makes the cruet stand a little unsteady, but this does not affect its solidity in any way. Sold on its own, without crystal bottles. Please feel free to contact me for more photos or additional information.
