Man from the time of Louis XVI or the Directory, dressed in a dark jacket (possibly a simplified civil or military uniform) with gold buttons and a powdered wig typical of the second half of the 18th century. Oval frame in gilded brass, mounting at the back with bent metal teeth, characteristic of period mountings (19th century).
