Pair of Louis XVI style Napoleon III chairs from the Art Nouveau era. They are made of black lacquered wood, the openwork backrest features fluted balusters highlighted in gold with an intricately designed upper band, and at the top of the side ends, there are rings with a button at the end.
They rest on four slender legs, with the back legs shaped like sabers, and the front legs are tapered with rings, fluted, and also highlighted in gold. The seat is made of red cotton. Don’t look for perfection… These chairs have been renovated, but they show signs of wear and previous pest presence (treatment done) as they date back to the 1920s. That said, the overall condition is good.An absolute charm with these two chairs, they can be used together or separately in the living room or bedroom, bringing serenity and style with a beautiful vintage touch. Weight of both 6.5 kg.
