Pair of Imari Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Lamps, 19th Century

  

Pair of large Imari porcelain and gilt bronze lamps. Originally oil lamps, they have been converted to electric lamps.

Gilt bronze and brass mount. The porcelain is hand-painted with a delicate Imari pattern in red and blue tones with highlights of gold floral and bird motifs. Overall good condition, some worn gilt lines on the porcelain, bronze gilt slightly tarnished in places, and the brass piece under the socket has scratches and cuts (see photos).
