
Pair of Bronze Candlesticks with Caryatid Columns, Napoleon III Period. Very attractive pair of candlesticks. In bronze with two finishes (gilded and brown), the shaft is in the form of caryatids representing women dressed in classical style, standing with arms crossed, supporting on their heads a finely chased socket decorated with floral motifs simulating a jar. Mounted on a circular gilt bronze base decorated with a stylized frieze.
Napoleon III period, circa 1860. These two candlesticks are in excellent condition, with very fine chasing work.
