The front, with its slight curve, opens with two glass doors, allowing the displayed objects to be showcased to best effect. The frames are finely moulded and adorned with delicately carved rocaille motifs.
The upper section is topped with a richly carved openwork stepped shelf unit, forming an elegant display stand with scrolls, interlacing patterns, and a central cartouche. The whole rests on a curved base decorated with carved motifs on the front, bringing a beautiful sense of harmony to the composition. Period: Napoleon III (19th century).
