Monumental Baluster Vase in Blue and White Chinese Porcelain, 19th Century

  

Monumental vase in Chinese porcelain from the 19th century. In a baluster shape, featuring a molded decoration of leaf and flower scrolls, with stylized Chilong-shaped handles adorned with flowers on a deep blue background, the foot and the rim of the neck in the same color. The handles have been restored and there are firing cracks. This vase is exceptional due to its size, measuring 86 cm in height, but also because of its floral design which gives it a very modern appeal.

It was most likely intended to be placed on a pedestal as there is no original base. A purely decorative vase that will look magnificent in a large entrance, on a console, or a center table.
