MINIATURE Portrait of a Gentleman, High Quality, Period 1. A very fine miniature painted on ivory depicting the portrait of a man. Elegantly dressed in a black cravat and white shirt, with a jacket with Brandenburg-style frogging and an Astrakhan fur collar.

The miniature is presented under slightly domed glass, set in finely chiseled and gilded brass, within a wooden frame. First Empire period, early 19th century.
