Large Louis XV Rocaille Clock with Rooster and Flag, Gilded Bronze from the 19th Century

  
Very beautiful and large Louis XV Rocaille style clock in gilded bronze. Rich decorative repertoire with acanthus leaves, flowers, palmettes, shells, interlacing, torch, and quiver, and especially a rare rooster with a flag at its feet. The gilding of the bronze is original and pale although shiny on the flat surfaces. The Paris movement is signed AD Mougin; it works but needs adjustment as the movement stops quickly.
