Large Restauration mantel clock, circa 1820 - Gilt and patinated bronze - Antique musician - H.

A very beautiful neoclassical composition dedicated to music, featuring a remarkable decoration including a lyre topped by a radiant sun, a crown, a rich floral frame around the dial, an eagle with outstretched wings, as well as an important musical trophy applied to the front of the base. The gilt bronze dial is finely chiselled with abundant vegetal decoration. The whole rests on a large stepped rectangular base adorned with friezes and decorative feet.

The clock has a very beautiful old patina, with a particularly decorative combination of patinated brown bronze and gilt elements. Old mechanical movement present, visible at the back.
