Superb and very elegant bust representing Madame Juliette Récamier. She was born on December 3, 1777 in Lyon and died on May 11, 1849 in Paris, a French writer whose Parisian salon brought together, from the Directory to the July Monarchy, the greatest celebrities of the political, literary and artistic world. The details are striking with a face of great finesse.
The hair and the collar receive a very particular treatment with many details including lace and ribbon. This bust has two old chips on the lace and comb in the hair.
