Directoire-style desk in solid mahogany and veneer. A very elegant model dating from the very beginning of the 19th century. It stands on four pyramid-shaped legs with bronze sabots. It opens with 4 drawers on the front, including one double-height drawer with a flap and compartment. This desk is a center desk, meaning its decoration continues on all sides with faux drawers at the back, so it can also be used as a reception desk. Two pull-out leaves extend the work surface. The writing surface is covered in green leather with a gilt-embossed decorative design.

The leather is in good condition, with a few stains and creases. The piece is in good household condition; it is a functional piece that has been used for many years, so it shows some signs of age and use, but these are consistent with its use and age.
