Superb and very rare Charles X period piece of furniture. This is a hybrid piece of furniture most certainly custom made by a skilled cabinetmaker.

It is a console topped with a drop-front secretary in mahogany burl veneer, rosewood and light wood inlay. The interior of the secretary is in lemon tree and rosewood.

The marquetry quality of the inlays is great with a perfect match between the console and the secretary in the angles and the molding. The proportions of this piece of furniture are perfect for it to fit well in a living room or a bedroom. The console has slightly curved legs with a marquetry panel of the winds at the back.

Even the small melon feet are inlaid. This console opens with a large drawer. The secretary part has a mirror with mercury glass. The drop-front in golden tan leather opens to reveal a theater with drawers and storage. Under the middle drawer, an old label with the date 1832. Furniture in very good condition, with some small imperfections normal for its age.

It does not come apart. Delivery, flat on a pallet and wooden crate around it for protection, by ground floor carrier, 200 euros in France, 600 euros in the EU, and 1500 euros rest of the world.
