Authentic 19th-century pocket flask (Napoleon III / Victorian era). This Neo-Gothic style flask features a superb openwork filigree design, decorated with cross motifs on both sides. It is a charming piece, typical of the ladies’ accessories worn by high society during the Second Empire.
Material: Brass or gilded bronze, with a beautiful aged patina.
Decoration: Finely chiseled and openwork arabesques.
Exterior: In lovely cosmetic condition; the gilding is still well preserved despite a slight wear patina.
Mechanism: The hinged cap opens and closes properly.
Interior: Please note that the small inner glass stopper (or cap) is missing.

The flask is sold as-is, exactly as shown in the photos. Ideal for completing a collection of antique flasks, for a cabinet of curiosities, or to be worn as a pendant on a chain.
