Rare hand-carved wooden console shelf from the 19th century. Signed GUERET Fres PARIS Boulevard de la Madeleine. Measuring 26 cm in width and 15 cm in depth, in good condition, only missing one end on each side.

Removed but it does not detract from the beauty of these rare pieces. Furniture manufacturing company founded by Denis-Désiré (born in 1828) and Onésime Guéret (born in 1830) in 1852 or 1853 at 7 rue Buffault in Paris under the name "Guéret Frères". Opening of a store at 5 bd de la Madeleine in 1863, then transferred to 216, rue Lafayette.
